Dr. iur. Ingo Friedrich

Conflict resolution has become an ever growing part of my private and professional life over the last 20 years. Maybe the latin proverb "nomen est omen" has something to do with this? It implies that the name is fitting for an object or person.

The name Friedrich, deriving from old high-German or Germanic, ”fridu-rîhhi,“ can mean “rich in peace.“ It is a Germanic name meaning "peaceful ruler," derived from frid "peace, protection" and ric "ruler, power." The name has long been common in continental Germanic-speaking regions, being borne by rulers of the Holy Roman Empire, Germany, Austria, Scandinavia, and Prussia. The name Friedrich first appeared in a Gothic calendar.

Building peace is a very fulfilling personal investment. Being firm in my own belief, I find it rewarding to learn from other cultures and religions and can easily relate to different ways of feeling and thinking. Besides building peace, I organize inter-religious talks between Muslims and Christians.
